We designed and developed a visually-driven WordPress website for ClassicCarsPictures.nl, a platform dedicated to showcasing high-resolution photographs of classic and vintage cars. The goal was to deliver an elegant gallery-style site that highlights vehicle images in stunning detail, while ensuring smooth navigation and performance.
About the Project
ClassicCarsPictures.nl features a curated collection of vintage automobiles — classic cars, rare models, and collector vehicles — presented through professional photography. The client needed a digital space that could do justice to these images: a clean, minimal interface that keeps the focus on visuals, while offering intuitive navigation for auto enthusiasts and collectors browsing galleries.
Their existing setup lacked a refined layout and image presentation was suboptimal. We therefore rebuilt the site using WordPress with a custom theme optimized for galleries and visuals.
Our Contribution
We created a custom WordPress theme optimized for high-resolution images, fast loading, and responsive display across devices. The layout is minimal and elegant, with ample whitespace and gallery-friendly design that allows photos to stand out. Navigation is structured to let users browse by car make, model, era, or collection.
We also implemented optimized image handling (lazy loading, responsive sizing) for better performance and user experience. The backend was built so the client can easily upload new photo sets, manage galleries, and add descriptive blurbs about cars or collections.
